The Pumpkin Collection by Pierre Paulin for Ligne Roset was originally designed in 1971 as a unique piece for the private residence of Claude & Georges Pompidou at the Elysée Palace. Paulin began developing this revolutionary style at the end of the 1950s and as this collection’s name suggests, is evocative of a giant pumpkin, welcoming the sitter with its voluptuous form. Its minimal silhouette is enhanced by the segmented pattern of the upholstery.
